On Saturday, Feb. 15th, Join me for a Pottery workshop at the Historic Durand Depot!
In this workshop we will be creating a hanging Bird Feeder. There will also be an option to make a Bee Feeder for all those bumble bee fans!
In this workshop we will be using techniques such as slab rolling, slipping and scoring, using a slump mold and adding texture. You are encouraged to add embellishments to make it your own unique feeder.
There will be 3 glaze colors to choose from. White, Green or Blue. In this workshop you will also be able to choose if you would like your feeder glazed 2 colors (half/half)!
I will also be bringing twine. If you would like your twine to be a little fancier, I will be giving a lesson on Macrame. You will be able to take the twine home with you so that you can finish it before I am finished with the glaze firing.
Once you are finished I will bring them home glaze them and fire them so they are strong enough to hold up to our Michigan weather. (I have left ours outside for years and have only had to replace the twine every few years)
The workshop is $35
This covers clay, glaze, firing and packaging. I will be bringing all supplies needed and to those that have take my workshops before... I HAVE SO MANY NEW TEXTURES!!!
Bring your creativity and I will bring the rest!|
